Bruce is a globally-recognised guru of the Wealth Management industry. A former global leader of PwC’s Private Banking and Wealth Management practice, he has over 40 years’ experience of providing a range of audit and consulting services to global financial service companies.

Bruce is CEO of Weatherill Consulting, non-executive chairman of The Wisdom Council, Ten Lifestyle Group Plc and ClearView Financial Media (WealthBriefing). He is also a non-executive director of ComPeer, JDX Consulting and, until September 2019, Fidelity Holdings (UK). He is a judge on various Wealth Management awards and a chairman/speaker at Wealth Management conferences around the world.

Anna Lane

CEO

Anna Lane is founder and CEO of The Wisdom Council and focuses on delivering strategic, innovative and actionable strategies to improve consumer engagement and financial awareness. Anna is also President and CEO of the non-for-profit, volunteer led Women in Banking and Finance (WIBF).

Anna’s commitment to gender equality also includes a focus on closing the gender pensions and investments gap. In 2020 Anna sat on the Money & Pensions Service (MaPS) Gender and Financial Wellbeing Challenge Group tasked with considering the impact of gender across the five national goals of the MaPS UK Strategy for Financial Wellbeing. She launched the cross-industry Yes She Can initiative in 2019 drawing on techniques used by FMGC brands to encourage women to take control of their financial futures and affect behavioural change. The 2021 campaign “Get Financially Fit” is led by the TV journalist Kate Thornton and aims to reach 10 million women this year.

Prior to launching TWC Anna ran a specialist wealth and asset management consultancy and worked in the City for over 20 years in senior roles including JPMorgan Private Bank and Morgan Stanley Investment Management. She is also judge on the Private Asset Management Awards (PAM) and recently stood down after eight years on the Board of the Young Vic Theatre.

Alison Malton

Director

Alison is a strategist and expert in getting things done!

She brings more than 20 years’ practical experience in wealth management working for leading players across the industry including private banks, asset managers, IFAs, platforms and insurance companies. She has held chief operating officer roles for the private banking businesses of Barclays and Schroders. She has brought her experience to roles as an independent consultant and as a director of a number of small and rapidly expanding businesses, including a 3-year tenure as managing director of Compeer, the business benchmarking and research services provider and 6 years building an independent financial planning business, now integrated into Stonehage Fleming. Her passion is to get things done – and the right things for the client.

Dawn Hyams

Head of Investor Insight and Governance

Dawn is a senior consultant to the Wisdom Council and leads our work on investor and fund governance – challenging the industry to ‘think customer’ in the design, delivery and marketing of investment and long-term savings products.

With over 30 years’ experience in asset management – as a senior practitioner and consultant – Dawn has hands on experience of the commercial and regulatory challenges facing the industry as well as deep investment industry expertise. Dawn brings all of this to bear whether driving B2B research projects with professional investors, talking to end investors or leading our work with the Investment Association, including delivering Fund Communications Guidance training on their behalf.

Josh Blundell

Head of Research and Operations

Josh has been at The Wisdom Council for 6 years and leads our Research and Operations teams. Having spent the first half of his career working in front office roles within large financial institutions, Josh works closely with our clients to understand their strategic and tactical objectives and designs insight and engagement programmes to deliver them. Having worked on both sides of the fence, he combines his expertise in the commercial and regulatory environment with his passion for giving customers a voice in financial services. Always focused on the positive impact we can have by inspiring more people to engage with their long-term savings and investments, both individually and socially, sustainability and responsible investment are particular areas of interest.

Martha Webb

Research Manager

Martha has been with The Wisdom Council for over 4 years as a research and client manager across our investment and wealth management clients, and plays a key role in managing our Client Communities. Working alongside our investment specialists, she combines her ability to think both analytically and creatively to ensure The Wisdom Council delivers high quality and innovative solutions for our clients. Since 2019 she has also helped build and manage The Wisdom Council’s Yes She Can initiative, and although she is passionate about making financial services more accessible to everyone, she is particularly interested in helping the financial services industry engage more women with pensions and investments.

Ben Goldsmith

Research Analyst

Ben is an Operations Associate at The Wisdom Council and plays a key role in helping the business innovate, work more effectively and utilise digital technologies. His 4 years of experience at the firm, both within and outside of our research team, has enabled him to analyse and constantly improve the services we provide to our clients. Ben has a particular interest in everything digital and works closely with our teams to ensure the processes we put in place regarding our digital offerings, especially our Client Communities, are fit for today’s fast paced business environment.

Nilza Anibal

Research Associate

Nilza is a Marketing and Research Associate and has been with The Wisdom Council for over 4 years – working across our investment and wealth management clients. Nilza supports the management of our Client Communities and also plays a key role in managing our proprietary community of retail investors, The Wise Society.

Working alongside our investment specialists, she uses her creativity to ensure The Wisdom Council delivers high quality and innovative solutions to our clients. For example, Nilza has helped build and manage The Wisdom Council’s Yes She Can initiative since its launch in 2019.

She is passionate about understanding why consumers are attracted to certain brands and is particularly interested in helping the financial services industry engage more with women and BAME customers.

Paula Foreman

Executive Assistant

Paula is Executive Assistant to The Wisdom Council team – as well as grappling with the daily challenge of diary management, Paula provides invaluable administrative support and keeps the office ticking.

Having spent more than 20 years as a PA in financial services companies working for both UK and international businesses, Paula has a wealth of industry experience to offer. During her time at Scottish Life Assurance and Scottish Life International Paula supported the UK and International Sales Directors respectively, and also worked for the directors of Alpha Capital Markets.

A passion for swimming has seen Paula cross the channel no less than 3 times!

Elizabeth Farley

Client Manager

Elizabeth is a Client Manager at The Wisdom Council and, as a communications and marketing professional, she brings extensive experience from banking, risk management and start-up projects. She began her banking career in Switzerland and moved into regulatory risk management and communications roles, working internationally for UBS Wealth Management and Standard Chartered Bank, Singapore.  Elizabeth also has worked for several start-ups where she conceived and directed marketing campaigns focused on customer engagement and acquisition. She is passionate about combining human and data driven insights. Elizabeth graduated in Economics with French from the University of Southampton and in Digital Marketing from the Yale School of Management.

Will Soer

Research Analyst

Will is a qualitative Research Analyst at The Wisdom Council and has a wide variety of experience and interests, tied together by a consistent fascination in human experience, culture and motivation. After completing his masters degree in Social Anthropology, Will further explored this passion through the mediums of journalism, creative non-fiction and advertising, before settling upon his role as a researcher. He spent the first lockdown interviewing Samaritans volunteers as part of a self-initiated research project in collaboration with BAMM London, developing actionable insights around the subject of socially distanced communication, insights that he further tested and developed whilst working at advertising agency the Gate, implementing new collaborative, mental health-friendly meeting formats. He went on to work on various research projects for clients ranging from international banks to brands such as Axe and Yamaha in his time at Firefish, before taking up the role of Research Associate at the Wisdom Council.

Rosie May Carter

Relationship Manager

Rosie draws on more than 15 years’ asset management and international experience gained in the institutional, professional wealth management and retail sectors to develop client engagement strategies – both online and offline. With a strong heritage in the development of digital propositions, Rosie is passionate about building strong long-term relationship with clients, developing and implementing solutions that deliver results for them.

Thomas Rutherford

Investment Consultant

Tom has been supporting clients in the asset and wealth management industry for over twenty years.

He headed the charities team at Lombard Odier in London and prior to 2015 he was a managing director at JPMorgan Private Bank advising family offices, trusts, private clients and charities. He led JPMorgan’s international manager due diligence team, having been both a portfolio manager and equity research analyst at Flemings. Tom is also a trustee of Swanswell, a leading addiction charity.

Giles Lenton

Customer Insight

Giles is our resident insight and strategy expert who focuses on providing clear target market insights for The Wisdom Council’s clients, helping them to build and develop product, brand, business and communication strategies with confidence.

Driven by a need to understand why consumers, investors and businesses make the decisions they make and how to influence those decisions, Giles has over 30 years of experience as a qualitative researcher and insight specialist, as well as being an experienced facilitator at executive and board levels.

Giles has experience working for clients across the financial services industry from retail banking and card services to asset and wealth management, and just about everything in between.

Ally Lim

Senior Quantitative Data Consultant

Ally helps The Wisdom Council shape strategic approaches to human behaviour matters. She diagnoses behaviour patterns, investigates the drivers and barriers behind a target behaviour, and makes practical recommendations. Ally applies a rigorous scientific approach based on her strong academic background and field experiences in behavioural science, social psychology and statistical modelling. She holds two masters degrees in Organisational and Social Psychology from LSE, and Cognition and Computation from the University of London. Previously, Ally worked in the financial services industry for over ten years.

Rebecca Ironside

Senior Qualitative Research Consultant

Rebecca has worked in qualitative research for over 25 years, both agency and client side, and was previously Head of Qualitative Research at Future Thinking. Rebecca is particularly interested in audience analysis, women’s lifestyle, content, brand and comms research, but also works extensively in facilitating client workshops and stakeholder sessions. 

Her work has encompassed everything from bringing audiences to life and concept development to ad testing and high level B2B work for brands as diverse as The Week Magazine, British Film Institute, News UK, Coty, Knight Frank, Philips, Unilever and St James Place, among others.
