The financial services industry

Our challenge

As a business, we recognised that to ensure customers have a voice and that the products offered by financial services firms are fair, we needed a direct channel of contact with investors.

Our approach

To establish this direct channel, we created The Wise Society, our proprietary community of UK retail investors – using a specialised community platform software to create our hub. Within this platform our community of investors interact on a daily basis and provide continual feedback on a variety of topics.

Outcome/impact

The Wise Society allows both The Wisdom Council and our clients to have direct access to a large group of investors. These investors help us with a variety of research tasks and provide rich insight on a project-by-project basis.

A local government pension fund

Their challenge

Our client wished to explore understanding and awareness of their RI strategy, whilst also wanting to learn how they can better interact and engage with their investors going forward.

Our approach

We invited more than 200 members to be part of an ‘Ideas Hub’, a community-based platform. During their time on the platform, users exchanged opinions and understanding around the pension fund and their current RI strategy. They also completed a series of tasks, to help better inform the pension fund regarding customer attitudes.

Outcome/impact

The ‘Ideas Hub’ allowed our client to gain some incredibly rich insight from their customers, which has driven communications and helped guide their evolving investment strategy. Overall, we had some amazing feedback from participants – showcasing the pension fund’s ability to effectively engage with their members.

A large UK-based asset manager

Their challenge

Building a better relationship with clients was a key objective for our client, they wished to add value to that relationship by embedding both customers and advisers within their value-chain.

Our approach

To meet our client’s objectives, we built, and continue to manage three large-scale communities, across two brands, both with customers and financial advisers. Our communities utilise a new and innovative platform software, which allows for a seamless experience for the user.

Outcome/impact

By creating a positive feedback loop and a direct channel of communication, our communities have enhanced the relationship between our client and their customers.
