Bruce is a globally-recognised guru of the Wealth Management industry. A former global leader of PwC’s Private Banking and Wealth Management practice, he has over 40 years’ experience of providing a range of audit and consulting services to global financial service companies.
Bruce is CEO of Weatherill Consulting, non-executive chair of The Wisdom Council, Ten Lifestyle Group Plc and ClearView Financial Media (WealthBriefing). He is also a non-executive director of ComPeer and JDX Consulting. He is a judge on various Wealth Management awards and chair/speaker at Wealth Management conferences around the world.
As the founder and CEO of The Wisdom Council, Anna has played a pivotal role in fostering fairness and accessibility within financial services. She is adept at driving consumer engagement while proficiently navigating regulatory complexities, marking her as a distinguished figure in the industry. In her volunteer role as President and CEO of Women in Banking and Finance, a UK-based social enterprise, Anna has guided the organisation to double its size. Her expertise is recognised through her judging roles at the PAM and SFE Awards, and her advisory position with the Female Lead.
Anna’s work on the MaPS UK Strategy for Financial Wellbeing underscores her commitment to societal impact, gender equality, and financial inclusion.
Alison is a strategist and brings more than 20 years’ practical experience in wealth management. She is an expert in getting things done, a skill honed from working for leading players across the industry including private banks, asset managers, IFAs, platforms and insurance companies.
She has held chief operating officer roles for the private banking businesses of Barclays and Schroders. She has brought her experience to roles as an independent consultant and as a director of a number of small and rapidly expanding businesses, including a three-year tenure as managing director of Compeer, and six years building an independent financial planning business, now integrated into Stonehage Fleming.
Dawn is a senior consultant and leads our work on investor and fund governance – challenging the industry to ‘think customer’ in the design, delivery and marketing of investment and long-term savings products.
With over 30 years’ experience in asset management, Dawn has hands on experience of the commercial and regulatory challenges facing the industry as well as deep investment industry expertise.
Dawn brings all of this to bear whether driving B2B research projects with professional investors, talking to end investors or leading on our work with the Investment Association, including delivering training on their behalf.
Ed joins The Wisdom Council as a consultant, after serving the Wealth & Investment Management and Private Banking sectors for 15 years – mainly advising and selling PAM Insight’s products and services. Having run PAM for 10 years and judging alongside Anna, it was a natural fit for Ed to work with us, representing us and selling our services to those across the Wealth & Asset Management and Banking sectors.
Ed also spent 17 years at the Institute of Directors, helping many small UK businesses, and culminating in running the Institute of Director’s publishing division and serving as the organisation’s Commercial Director.
Martha has been with The Wisdom Council for more than six years and works primarily with our wealth management clients. She plays a key role in managing our Client Communities.
Working alongside our investment specialists, she combines her ability to think both analytically and creatively to ensure we deliver high-quality and innovative solutions for our clients. Since 2019 she has also helped build and manage the Yes She Can initiative.
She is passionate about making financial services more accessible to everyone and is particularly interested in helping the industry engage more women with pensions and investments.
Elizabeth is a Client Manager at The Wisdom Council and, as a communications and marketing professional, she brings extensive experience from banking, risk management and start-up projects. She began her banking career in Switzerland and moved into regulatory risk management and communications roles, working internationally for UBS Wealth Management and Standard Chartered Bank, Singapore.
Elizabeth also has worked for several start-ups where she conceived and directed marketing campaigns focused on customer engagement and acquisition. She is passionate about combining human and data driven insights.
Karen rejoined The Wisdom Council in 2022, from Nedbank Private Wealth where she was Senior Executive, Client Insights. Karen originally worked for TWC in 2015/16, before moving to 7IM and then onto Nedbank.
She brings to the table 25 years of experience across the Financial Services industry in Asia and Europe. In her current role at TWC she oversees our client work, ensuring our insight and communities are delivering for their needs.
In her spare time, to help women progress their Financial Services careers and encourage female financial inclusion, Karen serves on the management board of Women in Banking & Finance and is an ambassador for Insuring Women’s Futures.
Beth works as a Client and Communities Executive at The Wisdom Council, working closely with our Wealth Management clients. Prior to joining us in 2023, Beth was working as a Senior Research Analyst at a legal research company.
Beth studied Sociology at the University of Liverpool and attended a summer school in Lithuania that explored strategies for countering Organised Crime in Europe. She also worked as a research intern on a project that investigated social media usage among young adults.
Beth’s interests include gender equality and Gen Z consumer behaviour.
Luca is a trained anthropologist. In his early career Luca cut his teeth as a researcher in peacebuilding. He joined a number of grassroots organisations in Israel/Palestine and the Western Balkans, advising on how to build resilient multi-ethnic communities in fragile or war-prone contexts.
Luca’s interests include gender, social justice, and human-environment relations. At The Wisdom Council he aims to contribute to the creation of more inclusive and customer centric financial products.
As a Client and Communities Executive, Luca works with our Wealth and Asset Manager clients and oversees and engages our many communities.
Nilza works across our projects for investment and wealth management clients. She supports the maintenance and management of our platforms so that our Client Communities run as they should do.
Working alongside our investment specialists, she uses her creativity to ensure The Wisdom Council delivers high quality and innovative solutions to our clients.
She is passionate about understanding why consumers are attracted to certain brands and is particularly interested in helping the financial services industry engage more with women and BAME customers.
Paul has over 30 years’ experience in market research. As an experienced researcher across quantitative and qualitative work, he brings expertise of hard-to-reach audiences, multi-country studies, large-scale surveys, thought leadership and PR/Comms/Public Affairs.
Paul has a strong understanding of the finance sector. He led the Aegon Retirement Readiness report and the BlackRock Investor Pulse surveys for three years at Cicero Research and recently spent 18 months at the Money and Pensions Service working on the MaPS Outcomes survey and financial wellbeing segmentation.
Jesse started with us after completing his undergraduate degree in Politics and Philosophy, at the University of Manchester. Jesse joins our insight team to assist with both qualitative and quantitative research projects with our roster of clients.
He also plays a key role in managing The Wise Society, and is responsible for managing activities, engagement and reporting from the community. Jesse is particularly interested in making finance truly accessible to all.
Fahmida started with us after completing her undergraduate degree in Sociology, with Quantitative Research, at the University of Kent. Fahmida joins our insight team to assist with both qualitative and quantitative research projects with a number of clients.
She also plays a key role in managing The Wise Society, and is responsible for managing activities, engagement and reporting from the community. Fahmida is particularly interested in understanding how ethnicity plays a role in financial service use and how ethnic groups differ in the way they interact with financial products and services.
Paula is Executive Assistant to The Wisdom Council team – she provides invaluable administrative support and keeps the office ticking.
Having spent more than 20 years as a PA in financial services companies working for both UK and international businesses, Paula has a wealth of industry experience to offer. During her time at Scottish Life Assurance and Scottish Life International Paula supported the UK and International Sales Directors respectively, and also worked for the directors of Alpha Capital Markets.
A passion for swimming has seen Paula cross the channel no less than 3 times!
Amy joins us from the third sector, having worked in not-for-profit digital marketing roles for seven years before starting at The Wisdom Council. Prior to that Amy worked in the magazine and fashion sectors – acquiring a diverse knowledge of paid, owned and earned media channels and digital storytelling from those roles. Amy brings to the team audience, brand and marketing strategy and leads on The Wisdom Council’s comms and marketing – including Yes She Can and The Wise Society.
Amy is passionate about gender equality and user-focused design.
Tom has been supporting clients in the asset and wealth management industry for over twenty years.
He headed the charities team at Lombard Odier in London and prior to 2015 he was a managing director at JPMorgan Private Bank advising family offices, trusts, private clients and charities. He led JPMorgan’s international manager due diligence team, having been both a portfolio manager and equity research analyst at Flemings. Tom is also a trustee of Swanswell, a leading addiction charity.
Rebecca has worked in qualitative research for over 25 years, both agency and client side, and was previously Head of Qualitative Research at Future Thinking. Rebecca is particularly interested in audience analysis, women’s lifestyle, content, brand and comms research, but also works extensively in facilitating client workshops and stakeholder sessions.
Her work has encompassed everything from bringing audiences to life and concept development to ad testing and high level B2B work for brands as diverse as The Week Magazine, British Film Institute, News UK, Coty, Knight Frank, Philips, Unilever and St James Place, among others.
Giles is our resident insight and strategy expert who focuses on providing clear target market insights for our clients, helping them to build and develop product, brand, business and communication strategies with confidence.
Driven by a need to understand why consumers, investors and businesses make the decisions they make and how to influence those decisions, Giles has over 30 years of experience as a qualitative researcher and insight specialist.
Giles has experience working for clients across the financial services industry from retail banking to asset and wealth management.
